My wife, who is so much smarter than me (and far more attractive), suggested that if I am going to hold myself out as an author, I should at least tell you which books I've written. So here they are:

Hello, my name is Gregory E. Lang...

Hi, my name is Gregory E. Lang. My friends call me Greg. I am an author and photographer living with my wonderful family in the Atlanta suburbs. My series of gift books about family relationships has sold over 2 million copies, and several have appeared on the New York Times Best-Sellers List.

My quest to become an author began in 1998 when I wrote a book for my daughter expressing my love and hopes for her. Over the next three years the book was rejected 62 times before Cumberland House Publishing agreed to publish it. That book, Why a Daughter Needs a Dad: 100 Reasons, became a reality in 2002. I've been writing every since.

My Family: I have the great pleasure of being married to my best friend (she's beautiful, and sweet, too) Jill. We have two daughters, Meagan Lang and Linley Davis. We also have a mutt dog named Princess, and if I don't refer to her as a member of my family, Jill will punish me in ways I don't wish to think about. I am also the eldest son of my parents, Gene and Dianne Lang of Lizella, GA, a small town near Macon, GA. I have four siblings, all still living in Macon, my hometown. I hope they escape one day.

Historical Tidbits: I graduated from Southwest High School in 1978, Mercer University in 1980 & 1983, and finally from the University of Georgia with a Ph.D. in Child and Family Development in 1990. I moved to the Atlanta, GA area in 1987 and have remained here since. I worked my way through college as a jewelry designer and upon completing my doctorate degree, entered the healthcare field. I remained in that industry until 2005, when I decided to become a fulltime author and photographer.

Hobbies and Interests: Spending time with my family, writing, photography, reading, travel, cooking, gardening, entertaining, and daydreaming about appearing on the Oprah Winfrey Show to discuss my bestselling novel and the soon-to-be-released movie based upon it, directed by Steven Spielberg.
