A True Story?

One year at Thanksgiving, a mom went to her daughter's house for the traditional feast. Knowing how gullible her child is, the mom had planned to play an elaborate trick. She asked her daughter to go purchase a few last minute things she needed from the grocery store. When the daughter left, the mom removed the turkey from the oven, removed the stuffing, crammed it into a Cornish hen, and then inserted the stuffed hen into the turkey. She then placed the bird(s) back into the oven. Hours and a few glasses of wine later it was time for dinner. The host pulled the turkey out of the oven and proceeded to remove the stuffing. She reached in the turkey and pulled out the little bird. With a look of total shock on her face, the mother screamed, "You've cooked a pregnant bird!" To her surprise, her daughter started to cry hysterically. It took the whole family two hours to convince the distraught hostess that turkeys actually lay eggs.
